Machinist III

About the role

The Machinist III will operate and maintain automatic or semi‑automatic manufacturing equipment in a pharmaceutical/biotech environment, ensuring production runs within defined safety, quality and environmental parameters.

Key responsibilities

• Operate machinery, monitor control panels and make adjustments or repairs as needed.
• Supply materials to assigned machines and inspect, pack and document output according to plant procedures.
• Perform set‑ups for code changes, following equipment manuals and product specifications.
• Execute routine, preventive and corrective maintenance tasks such as cleaning, greasing and lubrication.
• Document production data manually or electronically (e.g., hour‑by‑hour logs, downtime, setup time).
• Collaborate with Automation, Process Engineering and Quality teams to identify process improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• Associate degree or equivalent in mechanics, electronics, die‑making or related field.
• At least 1 year of experience with automatic or semi‑automatic equipment.
• Ability to analyze malfunctions, identify root causes and propose solutions.

Required skills

• Use of measurement tools (caliper, micrometer, ruler, etc.).
• Basic mechanical and electronic troubleshooting.
• Preventive maintenance procedures.
