Luxury Villa General Manager – Pre-Opening (Jericoacoara, Brazil)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Luxury Villa General Manager to lead the pre‑opening and ongoing operation of an ultra‑luxury private villa in Jericoacoara, Brazil. This role goes beyond traditional hotel management, requiring you to transform an architectural project into a fully operational hospitality experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the entire pre‑opening process from planning to launch, including budgeting, staffing, and operational system implementation.
• Create SOPs, operational manuals, policies, and service standards from scratch.
• Build departmental workflows, coordinate suppliers, contractors, and operational partners.
• Implement a Property Management System (PMS) and other operational tools.
• Recruit, interview, hire, and train all operational staff; develop a high‑performing team.
• Conduct performance evaluations, coach department heads, and manage disciplinary actions.
• Maintain vendor and contractor relationships and oversee budget management.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience as General Manager, Operations Manager, or Director of Operations in luxury hospitality.
• Proven track record of successfully opening at least one luxury hotel, resort, or private villa.
• Experience creating SOPs and building operational departments from the ground up.
• Strong leadership across multiple departments and ability to make hiring/termination decisions.
• Fluent English (spoken and written) and willingness to relocate to Jericoacoara.
