Logistics & Purchasing Manager – Remote (Home & Living)

About the role

Salaterra is seeking a Logistics & Purchasing Manager to lead international procurement and shipping for its Home & Living product range. This fully remote, freelance position offers the chance to shape processes in a fast‑scaling, agile team and report directly to the COO.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end international purchasing and logistics (import/export) for furniture and home‑decor items.
• Track purchase orders from suppliers through to final customer delivery.
• Coordinate shipments, inbound warehouse operations, and handle logistics incidents with preventive measures.
• Negotiate with suppliers, especially in Asia (China preferred), to improve costs, lead times and overall efficiency.
• Build and maintain operational dashboards covering costs, margins, lead times and incidents.
• Collaborate closely with customer‑service and sales teams.
• Supervise one purchasing/logistics assistant.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience in international purchasing & logistics.
• At least 3 years focused on Home & Living, Furniture, or Consumer Goods with large/heavy item shipping.
• Proven experience sourcing or managing suppliers in Asia, preferably China.
• Strong understanding of import/export regulations and international transport.
• Data‑driven mindset with advanced Excel skills; experience with BI tools is a plus.
• Hands‑on, proactive and comfortable in a startup/scale‑up environment.
• Fluent English (C1+); Spanish is a plus.
