Lead Merchandise Designer

About the role

We are seeking a Lead Merchandise Designer to own the hands‑on design of apparel, accessories and complementary products from concept through tech pack and sampling. You will also direct jewelry concepts to ensure cohesion across capsule collections, working closely with the founder, operations and jewelry designers.

Key responsibilities

• Design merchandise beyond jewelry (apparel, accessories, complementary products) from concept to production‑ready tech packs and samples.
• Direct, curate and quality‑check jewelry concepts, CADs, renders and samples for brand fit and cohesion.
• Build capsule collections that integrate jewelry and complementary products under a unified concept.
• Write clear briefs for jewelry designers and maintain cohesion across each capsule.
• Provide specific feedback on brand fit, wearability, commercial viability and anime references.
• Create detailed tech packs and manage sampling with manufacturers.
• Plan collections against a launch calendar, working backwards from release dates.

Required profile

• Portfolio showcasing physical fashion or merchandise products you helped develop and bring to market.
• Hands‑on experience creating tech packs and running sampling with manufacturers or suppliers.
• Strong product taste aligned with a premium, design‑led brand and commercial judgment.
• Genuine knowledge of current anime titles, fandom culture and audience preferences.
• Fluent written and spoken English at C2 level (hard requirement).
