Junior VMware Specialist

About the role

Adentis is looking for a Junior VMware Specialist to join its Porto team (or relocate). You will work on production‑grade vSphere environments, supporting our clients and internal projects while gaining hands‑on experience with virtualization technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Administer VMware vSphere environments in a professional setting.
• Manage multi‑host vSphere clusters and perform basic cluster operations.
• Configure and maintain external shared storage (SAN or equivalent) for VMware workloads.
• Use VMware vCenter for virtual machine lifecycle management.
• Implement and monitor backup solutions with Veeam Backup & Replication or similar.
• Execute and troubleshoot Ansible playbooks related to infrastructure tasks.
• Follow structured change‑management and incident‑management processes.
• Participate in scheduled Saturday production maintenance windows.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with VMware vSphere in a production environment.
• Exposure to multi‑host vSphere clusters.
• Experience working with SAN or equivalent shared storage.
• Familiarity with VMware vCenter for VM and cluster management.
• Basic understanding of enterprise networking concepts in virtualized environments.
• Experience with Veeam Backup & Replication or comparable backup solutions.
• Practical knowledge of Ansible at execution and troubleshooting level.
• Availability for Saturday maintenance windows and willingness to work onsite in Porto.
