Junior Quality Tester (Lisbon/Coimbra – Hybrid)

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Quality Tester to join our Quality Management team in Portugal. The role is hybrid, based in Lisbon or Coimbra, and involves ensuring the quality of software applications through manual testing and defect tracking.

Key responsibilities

• Create test cases based on requirements and design documents.
• Perform manual testing of software applications.
• Identify bugs/defects and report them using appropriate tools.
• Produce detailed bug reports with screenshots and step‑by‑step reproduction steps.
• Use test and defect management tools.
• Participate in project meetings as needed.
• Follow testing policies, criteria, strategies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with project stakeholders.
• Escalate issues to the appropriate levels.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 6 months of professional experience in a similar testing role.
• Experience designing, planning and executing functional testing autonomously.
• Familiarity with test and defect management tools and reporting.
• Strong communication, planning and organization abilities.
• Good written and spoken English.
