Junior Financial Analyst – SaaS Finance & FP&A

About the role

Spotlite is looking for a Junior Financial Analyst to support its financial operations and FP&A activities. In this hands‑on position you will work directly with the CFO and senior leadership, providing accurate data that drives strategic decisions for a fast‑growing SaaS business.

Key responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including recurring contract invoicing.
• Classify operational expenses (SG&A and COGS) to keep gross‑margin calculations precise.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and prepare documentation for the external accountant.
• Update Spotlite’s financial model on a monthly basis.
• Run budget‑vs‑actual variance analysis for Sales, Product and Operations.
• Calculate and track SaaS metrics such as ARR, MRR, churn, CAC and LTV.
• Build KPI reports for senior leadership and board‑level presentations.
• Support cross‑border financial flows between Portugal and Brazil, handling tax, withholding and FX issues.
• Assist with documentation for R&D grants and project audits.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Management, Accounting or a related field (completed).
• 1‑2 years of experience in financial analysis, controlling or FP&A.
• Fluency in Portuguese and English (written and spoken); Spanish is a plus.
• Strong curiosity about SaaS business models and unit economics.

Required skills

• Intermediate Excel and Google Sheets proficiency, including pivot tables and financial modeling.
• Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini.
