Junior C++ Software Engineer

About the role

As a Junior C++ Software Engineer you will join Nokia’s Optical Networks team, building high‑performance embedded applications that power the backbone of global connectivity. You will work in a trusted, international environment where clean code, decoupled architecture and engineering excellence are the guiding principles.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop high‑performance embedded applications for Intel and ARM platforms using modern C++.
• Modernize codebases by applying STL, Boost and asynchronous programming techniques to solve concurrency challenges.
• Write comprehensive unit, end‑to‑end and stress tests and lead code‑review activities.
• Collaborate with a global, cross‑functional team to define architecture and drive design decisions.
• Integrate AI‑driven development tools to automate boiler‑plate tasks and accelerate testing.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of object‑oriented C++ concepts, multi‑threading and data structures.
• Passion for learning modern C++ standards and staying up‑to‑date with industry trends.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English within a distributed, multicultural environment.
