Data Cloud Engineer – Telecom Sector

About the role

Devoteam is looking for a Data Cloud Engineer to design and deliver high‑performance, cloud‑based data solutions for telecom applications. You will work with a multidisciplinary team across EMEA, shaping innovative data pipelines and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and develop scalable cloud‑based data solutions for telecom use cases.
• Implement and optimise big‑data processing pipelines using technologies such as Hadoop and Spark.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate cloud solutions with existing telecom infrastructure.
• Ensure data security, privacy and regulatory compliance.
• Design data models that support analytics and business‑intelligence initiatives.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for efficient cloud deployment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in cloud environments.
• Stay current with emerging cloud and telecom data‑management trends.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of cloud engineering experience, preferably in the telecommunications sector.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java and SQL.
• Experience with big‑data technologies including Hadoop and Spark.
• Solid understanding of telecom network protocols and architectures.
• Expertise in data modelling, analytics and visualization.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code practices.
• Relevant cloud certifications are a plus.
