Junior Buyer

About the role

The Junior Buyer supports Hubbell Caribe Limited’s manufacturing operations by securing materials at the best price while meeting quality, quantity, and specification requirements. Working closely with production teams, the role ensures reliable supply chain performance and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Create and manage purchase orders in SAP based on production needs and inventory levels.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to maintain optimal inventory and review forecasts for order sizing.
• Monitor supplier lead times, performance, and delivery compliance, providing updates on back‑ordered items.
• Reconcile accounts payable related to purchases.
• Prepare periodic reports on purchasing performance, achievements, and improvement projects.
• Respond to engineering changes, defective material reports, and inventory adjustments to keep material availability aligned with production demands.
• Ensure all purchasing activities comply with HCL’s Quality System and coordinate return‑goods processing with quality teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business field.
• 2–5 years of materials or purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably electrical or electronic.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Spanish and English.

Required skills

• SAP procurement module.
• Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
