About the role
We are looking for a Java Backend Developer to join our telecom‑focused team in Lisbon. You will build and maintain high‑performance backend services that support large‑scale, data‑intensive applications for our clients.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable, efficient Java backend applications using Spring Boot.
- Design, implement and maintain RESTful APIs that expose core functionalities.
- Optimize application performance, scalability and reliability.
- Participate in code reviews and continuously improve development standards and best practices.
- Troubleshoot, debug and resolve complex technical issues.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Java backend development.
- Strong experience with Spring and Spring Boot frameworks.
- Proven ability to design and consume RESTful APIs.
- Experience with IBM FileNet CPE, Datacap and SQL Server in large‑scale environments.
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
