Java Backend Developer – Hybrid (Lisbon)

About the role
Hexa Consulting is looking for a Java Backend Developer to join its Lisbon team in a hybrid setup. You will work on high‑performance, scalable systems for near‑shore projects, collaborating with an international, cross‑functional group.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
- Design, implement, and optimise micro‑services architectures.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams in an international environment.
- Ensure code quality, performance, and scalability.
Required profile
- Proven experience in Java backend development.
- Solid knowledge of Spring Boot and micro‑services.
- Experience with REST APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes is a plus).
- Advanced level of English (mandatory).
