IT Team Leader – Credit Risk & Rating Engines (French)

About the role

Natixis in Portugal is seeking an experienced IT Team Leader to head three software engineering squads within the Credit Risk and Rating Engines department. Reporting to the IT Risks Team Manager, you will oversee the development, modernization, and maintenance of critical risk applications used across the BPCE Group, while ensuring strong collaboration with stakeholders in Paris and locally in Porto.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, coach and develop Front‑end, Back‑end and Full‑stack engineers and Business Analysts.
• Manage talent processes: performance reviews, career conversations, talent reviews and training plans.
• Plan and allocate team capacity, sprint velocity and handle absence management.
• Lead recruitment activities, conduct technical assessments and ensure smooth onboarding.
• Drive technical excellence by providing architecture guidance, effort estimation and software integration support.
• Monitor sprint and project delivery, propose corrective actions and maintain compliance with agile objectives.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading software engineering teams in a complex, regulated environment.
• Strong people‑management and agile delivery skills.
• Excellent communication in French and English, with the ability to work closely with Paris‑based stakeholders.
• Passion for modern development practices and a collaborative, high‑performance culture.
