IT Support Specialist – 1st/2nd Level (Portugal)

About the role

Testo is looking for a service‑oriented IT Support Specialist to join its global IT operations team in Albergaria-a-Velha, Portugal. You will provide first‑ and second‑level technical assistance to international service teams and customers, ensuring smooth IT processes and contributing to continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Handle technical inquiries via email, phone, or ticketing system and resolve 1st/2nd level issues.
• Escalate complex problems to 3rd‑level support (R&D) when needed.
• Provide remote assistance using shared desktop tools and support field technicians during installations.
• Manage incidents and service requests, keeping stakeholders informed.
• Administer user accounts and access rights.
• Create and maintain knowledge‑base articles.
• Support IT‑related projects and coordinate external service providers.
• Collaborate with R&D, product management, sales, quality and subject‑matter experts.

Required profile

• Completed vocational training or degree in IT, telecommunications or a related field.
• 2–5 years of professional experience in IT support or a similar role.
• Strong communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.

Required skills

• Experience with ticketing systems.
• Knowledge of cloud‑based systems and environments.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, LAN, DNS and DHCP.
• Basic knowledge of cloud‑based databases.
• Familiarity with remote desktop/shared desktop tools.
