IT Support Specialist – 1st/2nd Level (Portugal)

About the role

Testo is looking for a service‑oriented IT Support Specialist to join its global IT operations team in Albergaria-a-Velha, Portugal. You will provide first‑ and second‑level technical assistance to international service teams and customers, ensuring smooth IT processes and contributing to continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Handle and resolve technical inquiries via email, phone, or ticketing system (1st & 2nd level support).
• Provide remote assistance using shared‑desktop tools and support service technicians during installations.
• Manage incidents and service requests, tracking progress and communicating status.
• Administer user accounts and access rights, ensuring system availability.
• Create and maintain knowledge‑base articles for efficient problem solving.
• Support IT‑related development projects and implementation of new solutions.
• Coordinate external IT service providers to maintain high‑quality delivery.
• Collaborate with R&D, product management, sales, quality, and subject‑matter experts.

Required profile

• Completed vocational training or degree in IT, telecommunications, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of professional experience in IT support or a similar role.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently and in cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Experience with ticketing systems.
• Knowledge of cloud‑based systems and environments.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, LAN, DNS, and DHCP.
• Basic knowledge of cloud‑based databases.
