IT Security Expert

About the role

We are seeking an IT Security Expert to lead the implementation and management of security tools and services across Modaxo’s global locations. The role focuses on protecting critical business data, monitoring threats, and ensuring robust cyber‑defence measures.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and manage security tools (endpoint protection, firewalls, software updates) across all group sites.
• Guard sensitive data by designing comprehensive defence strategies against internal and external threats.
• Monitor systems for unusual activity, run defensive protocols, and report incidents.
• Collaborate with the Information Security team to develop layered protection and proactive security measures.
• Maintain documentation of security guidelines, procedures, standards and controls.
• Conduct risk analysis, vulnerability testing, and produce regular status reports.
• Manage GRC compliance for the organization.
• Respond to data breaches, malware attacks and simulate data loss scenarios to test recovery plans.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of cybersecurity experience in a midsize environment.
• Deep understanding of IT hardware, software and networking.
• Strong analytical and critical‑thinking abilities to identify and diagnose threats.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and training.
• Organizational skills to produce clear documentation.
