IT Application Support & Development Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an IT professional to join our Application Support and Development team at a leading international investment bank. The role focuses on maintaining and enhancing banking applications, ensuring smooth operation, and contributing to data‑warehousing initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line support for banking applications, handling incidents and service requests.
• Analyse and troubleshoot application issues in collaboration with internal teams and external vendors.
• Participate in data‑warehousing projects, assisting with design, development and performance optimisation.
• Develop and maintain software solutions using C# and web technologies for various banking operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Intermediate level of English.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Experience in the banking or financial sector is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced SQL Server – complex queries and stored procedures.
• Data‑warehousing design, development and performance tuning.
• ETL and data‑integration processes.
• Programming in C# and web development (ASP.NET, HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
