iOS Developer

About the role

We are looking for an iOS Developer to join our digital solutions team in Portugal. You will turn innovative prototypes into market‑ready mobile applications while collaborating with cross‑functional teams across the Volkswagen Group.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain iOS interfaces that integrate with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMM) shared logic and backend services.
• Develop iOS and Android applications using Kotlin Multiplatform, working in short increments with rapid feedback loops.
• Apply SOLID and Clean Code principles, automate testing, and ensure security, logging, and monitoring of running products.
• Participate in technical and architectural decisions for mobile applications.
• Perform code reviews for iOS and Android/KMP projects and coach developers on iOS best practices.
• Collaborate with multiple teams on all mobile development questions in an iOS environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience as an iOS Developer or in a similar role.
• Strong communication and analytical skills with excellent written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, and iOS SDK.
• Kotlin Multiplatform (KMM) for iOS and Android.
• CI/CD pipelines, code signing, and provisioning.
• Automated testing practices and code review experience.
• Knowledge of SOLID principles and Clean Code.
• Familiarity with Android development and Jetpack Compose (nice to have).
