Inventory Planner – San Juan, Puerto Rico

About the role

Boston Scientific is seeking an Inventory Planner to ensure product availability and optimise inventory performance for its operations in Puerto Rico. Based in San Juan, you will work cross‑functionally with Commercial, Marketing, Finance, Customer Care, Manufacturing, Quality, Warehouse Operations and Global Supply Chain to balance customer service, inventory investment and business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain demand forecasts to support business and customer requirements.
• Plan and monitor inventory levels for warehouse and customer consignment, ensuring product availability while optimising investment.
• Analyse inventory performance metrics such as inventory value, DIOH, scrap, aging and excess stock.
• Lead the Puerto Rico Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, aligning demand, supply, inventory and business priorities.
• Monitor inventory KPIs and recommend corrective actions based on business impact.
• Prepare and present inventory, demand and supply performance metrics for business reviews.
• Coordinate inventory transfers, balancing, liquidation activities and optimisation initiatives.
• Identify inventory risks and communicate mitigation plans proactively.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to support inventory planning decisions.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement projects to simplify processes and enhance supply‑chain performance.
• Leverage artificial‑intelligence and digital tools to automate routine activities and improve analysis.
• Ensure compliance with Boston Scientific Quality System requirements and applicable procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data‑driven recommendations.
• Self‑management, initiative and the ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with multiple functional teams.
