International Logistics & Purchasing Lead

About the role

Salaterra, an international furniture and home‑decor brand, is seeking a dynamic professional to lead its purchasing and logistics operations. Working remotely across compatible time zones, you will report directly to the CEO and help scale the supply chain of a fast‑growing e‑commerce business.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end international purchasing and import/export logistics for large and heavy goods.
• Track purchase orders from suppliers to final customer delivery, coordinating shipments and inbound warehouse operations.
• Optimize costs, lead times and logistics efficiency, especially with Asian (China) suppliers.
• Handle logistics incidents, develop preventive processes, and maintain operational dashboards (costs, margins, lead times, incidents).
• Collaborate with customer service and sales teams, and supervise a purchasing/logistics assistant.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in international purchasing and logistics, preferably in furniture, home décor or consumer goods.
• Direct experience sourcing or managing suppliers in Asia, with strong knowledge of import/export regulations.
• Data‑driven mindset comfortable with tracking KPIs and reporting.
• Hands‑on, proactive, and comfortable working in a startup/scale‑up environment.
• Fluent English (C1+); Spanish is a plus.
