Internal Control Analyst (Finance) – French Speaker

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Internal Control Analyst to join our Finance team in Porto. In this role you will partner with finance teams across multiple countries, strengthen financial governance, and help shape risk‑management practices on a global scale.

Key responsibilities

• Perform independent check‑and‑challenge reviews of finance activities and control environments across international entities.
• Assess finance processes using a risk‑based approach, identify improvement areas and define corrective action plans.
• Coordinate Finance Second Line of Defense activities and monitor implementation progress.
• Support optimisation of financial risk‑management practices and internal‑control frameworks.
• Maintain and enhance Finance internal‑control methodologies, governance standards and related documentation.
• Review financial risks linked to management‑accounting processes at local and central levels.
• Promote a strong internal‑control culture and ensure compliance with Finance, Risk and regulatory guidelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Audit, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in internal controls, financial audit, external audit, risk management or similar finance functions.
• Previous experience in insurance, banking, financial services or a multinational corporate environment.
• Fluency in English and French (written and spoken).

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of audit methodologies and risk‑based assessment approaches.
• Experience with financial consolidation processes.
• Familiarity with IFRS standards (nice to have).
• Understanding of management‑accounting principles (nice to have).
• Awareness of Solvency II frameworks (nice to have).
