Instructor – NATO Digital Training (DCIS)

About the role

Based in Oeiras, Portugal, the NATO Communications and Information Agency is seeking an enthusiastic Instructor for the Digital Communications and Information Systems (DCIS) program. The role supports the NCI Academy’s mission to deliver high‑quality, certified training on NATO C4ISR, cyber, command and control, and enterprise systems to a diverse audience of technical and non‑technical personnel.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver instructional material for NATO‑wide training courses.
• Facilitate classroom and virtual learning sessions, adapting content to varied skill levels.
• Maintain and operate training environments, including testing and troubleshooting of information system core services.
• Collaborate with subject‑matter experts to keep curricula current with emerging technologies.
• Support training operations and technology integration within the Academy.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline from a recognised university.
• Minimum two years of post‑graduate professional experience.
• At least five years of recent experience delivering training on highly technical subjects.
• Demonstrated experience in operation, testing and maintenance of modern information systems.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
