Information Security Analyst

About the role

Wire IT is looking for a proactive Information Security Analyst to join its fully remote team in Portugal. You will work on advanced threat detection, vulnerability management and automation across cloud and on‑premise environments, helping clients stay ahead of cyber threats.

Key responsibilities

• Operate XDR platforms such as Palo Alto and CrowdStrike to detect and respond to threats.
• Perform vulnerability scanning and management using tools like Tenable and Qualys.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts in Python or Bash for security processes.
• Manage change processes, ensuring safe testing, rollout and rollback of security updates.
• Support cloud (AWS, GCP) and on‑premise infrastructure, applying Infrastructure as Code principles where possible.
• Apply security frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, CIS) to guide investigations and remediation.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in information security or related fields.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Passion for continuous learning and staying current with emerging security technologies.
