IAM Team Leader

About the role

We are looking for an experienced IAM Team Leader to join our client’s security organization in Portugal. You will lead a dedicated Identity and Access Management team, driving strategy, architecture and automation while ensuring compliance and security across the enterprise.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop the IAM team, managing workload, performance and career progression.
• Design and maintain IAM architecture including Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, PKI, SSO, MFA and Conditional Access.
• Oversee Identity Governance and Privileged Access Management solutions such as CyberArk.
• Implement and improve identity lifecycle processes and automation using PowerShell, Python and ServiceNow.
• Serve as the top technical escalation point for complex identity‑related incidents.
• Ensure continuous improvement, security hardening and regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• 7+ years of hands‑on IAM experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Deep knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID and authentication protocols (SAML, OAuth2, OpenID Connect).
• Practical experience with CyberArk, SailPoint, PowerShell, Python and ServiceNow.
• Understanding of PKI, Conditional Access, Privileged Identity Management, MFA and Zero Trust principles.
• Microsoft Identity certification (or equivalent) and fluent English (B2+).
