Hotel Manager (M/F)

About the role

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Hotel Manager to lead the operations of Pestana Porto Santo and Pestana Dunas. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high quality standards, driving profitability, and ensuring an exceptional guest experience across both properties.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and continuously improve quality standards throughout the hotels.
• Supervise staff at all levels, set clear objectives, and foster a high‑performance culture.
• Plan daily activities, allocate responsibilities and optimise the operating model for efficiency.
• Manage budgets and expenses, analyse financial data, and monitor sales and profit performance.
• Develop and implement strategies to promote hotel services and increase market visibility.
• Collaborate with suppliers, event and conference planners, and other external partners.
• Inspect facilities regularly and enforce strict health and safety compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Hotel Manager or in a comparable senior hospitality role.
• Previous experience working in an international environment.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Strong knowledge of hotel management best practices, relevant laws and guidelines.
• Degree in Business Administration, Hotel/Hospitality Management or a related field.
• Excellent customer‑service orientation combined with a solid business mindset.
• Demonstrated decision‑making, problem‑solving and leadership abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Experience using hotel management software (any platform).
