Hotel Director – Luxury Cruise Operations

About the role

The Hotel Director leads all hotel operations on a luxury cruise vessel, ensuring an exceptional guest experience and maintaining high standards of service. This senior position requires strategic vision, strong leadership, and a deep understanding of multi‑outlet hospitality environments.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and leadership for the hotel department.
• Oversee all aspects of hotel operations to maximise guest satisfaction and crew friendliness.
• Implement and maintain Forbes 5‑star standards, preparing the ship for possible inspections.
• Resolve onboard challenges promptly using the ATRI methodology.
• Conduct daily inspiring morning meetings and mentor department heads.
• Identify training needs, support talent development, and attend relevant meetings and courses.
• Participate in weekly public health inspections and ensure corrective actions are completed.
• Distribute NPS scores, financial data, voyage reports, and deep‑dive analyses to stakeholders after each voyage.

Required profile

• Minimum 6‑8 years of professional experience in luxury hotel operations, with at least 5 years in a management role.
• Experience in cruise line hospitality is an advantage, though experience in other luxury service‑driven sectors is acceptable.
• Excellent fluent English (verbal and written); additional languages are a plus.
