About the role

Sublime Comporta is seeking an experienced Head Waiter to lead the front‑of‑house team in a unique, nature‑focused hospitality setting just an hour from Lisbon. The role combines high‑volume service with a commitment to creating memorable, relaxed experiences for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome, assist, and advise guests professionally, ensuring a memorable experience.
• Deliver excellent table service in line with defined standards.
• Prepare, organize, and present the dining area before, during, and after service.
• Collaborate with kitchen and service staff to maintain smooth, efficient operations.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and equipment upkeep.
• Strictly follow HACCP hygiene and food‑safety regulations.
• Assist in resolving guest complaints and drive continuous service improvement.
• Foster a positive, cooperative team environment.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a waiter or head waiter in dynamic, high‑volume settings.
• Strong customer orientation and dedication to service excellence.
• Good knowledge of table, wine, and bar service (preferred).
• Fluency in Portuguese and English; additional languages are a plus.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Team spirit, proactivity, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
