Head of Quality Assurance

About the role

We are seeking a Head of Quality Assurance to own the quality and release decisions of our fintech products. You will build a proactive QA function from scratch, leveraging automation, AI‑driven testing, and strong engineering practices to ensure secure, compliant releases.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end product quality across all environments (dev → prod).
• Define and implement QA strategy, processes, and a quality‑first culture.
• Make go/no‑go release decisions and manage quality gates.
• Maintain production stability through defect SLAs (P0/P1) and rapid resolution.
• Set up controlled QA/Sandbox environments aligned with production.
• Drive test automation for critical E2E, API, and integration flows and embed them in CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensure risk‑based test coverage and maintain regression strategy.
• Define and track quality metrics such as defect leakage, coverage, flakiness, and MTTR.
• Implement production safety mechanisms (feature flags, rollback, kill‑switches).
• Improve requirements quality and enforce clear acceptance criteria.
• Lead incident root‑cause analysis and systemic quality improvements.
• Build and scale the QA team, structure, and operating model.
• Promote modern QA and AI‑enabled practices.

Required profile

• 5+ years of QA experience with proven leadership responsibilities.
• Fintech background in payments, banking, e‑money or other high‑risk systems.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance.
• Experience designing and scaling QA functions in regulated environments.
