Head of Purchasing (Non-Production Procurement)

About the role

We are seeking a Head of Purchasing (Non-Production Procurement) to lead the acquisition of goods and services that support our operations but are not directly tied to production. In this senior position you will shape supplier strategy, drive cost optimisation and develop a high‑performing procurement team within an international automotive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the procurement of non‑production goods and services across the organisation.
• Develop supplier strategies, negotiate contracts and manage relationships with local and international suppliers.
• Monitor purchasing performance, prepare reports and provide data‑driven insights to management and headquarters.
• Drive cost‑reduction initiatives and continuous‑improvement projects within procurement processes.
• Manage workload distribution, evaluate performance and develop the purchasing team.
• Collaborate with global procurement functions and ensure compliance with automotive industry standards and company policies.

Required profile

• Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in purchasing or procurement within an industrial, multinational environment.
• Demonstrated expertise in supplier management, contract negotiation and procurement strategy.
• Strong analytical abilities and experience with SAP.
• Fluency in English; German is a plus.
• Leadership experience with the ability to develop and motivate teams.
