Head of Product – Core Team

About the role

We are looking for a Head of Product to lead the Core Platform and Public API that power a global payment infrastructure. Based in Portugal and fully remote, you will shape the product vision, drive execution, and collaborate with engineering, compliance, sales and marketing to accelerate platform adoption worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the product strategy and roadmap for the Core Platform and Public API, aligning with business objectives.
• Lead discovery workshops with internal and external stakeholders to uncover pain points and new opportunities.
• Partner with Engineering to scope, prioritize, and ship platform capabilities across core services and APIs.
• Translate strategic direction into detailed product requirements for clear engineering execution.
• Improve developer experience through better documentation, SDKs, integration guides, and self‑serve tooling.
• Act as the primary product liaison for leadership, sales, account management, compliance and marketing.
• Manage product priorities and trade‑offs to focus engineering effort on highest‑value initiatives.

Required profile

• 6‑10 years of product management experience delivering complex technical products.
• Deep understanding of API‑driven platforms and payments infrastructure, including PCI compliance, 3DS, authentication, retries, routing and versioning.
• Proven ability to operate at both strategic and execution levels.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, able to influence technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Analytical, detail‑oriented mindset with a focus on scalable solutions.
• Fluent English and experience working in cross‑functional, global teams.
