Head of Finance – Global Business Services Leader

About the role

The Head of Finance will serve as the senior operational leader for finance within a complex, regulated Global Business Services (GBS) environment. This executive role oversees end‑to‑end service delivery, operational stability, and continuous transformation of core finance processes across multiple countries, business units, and legal entities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead execution of global finance functions including Procure‑to‑Pay, Order‑to‑Cash, Record‑to‑Report, master data, financial controls and intercompany operations.
• Manage service performance metrics, SLAs, KPIs and customer satisfaction, acting as senior escalation point.
• Ensure timely and accurate month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close activities worldwide.
• Establish governance frameworks to maintain compliance with accounting standards, internal controls and corporate policies.
• Drive process standardisation and automation using Lean, Six Sigma, RPA and analytics, and oversee migration of new processes into the GBS model.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in an enterprise‑scale GBS or shared services hub.
• Deep operational mastery of multi‑functional finance streams (P2P, O2C, R2R, internal controls).
• Strong stakeholder partnership skills with global process owners and executive finance leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to apply continuous‑improvement methodologies and scale digital solutions.
• Excellent data‑integrity mindset with knowledge of segregation of duties and global regulatory requirements.
