Head of Communications

About the role

Powerdot is building Europe’s leading EV charging network and needs a senior communicator to shape its story across markets. As Head of Communications you will own the full communications function, turning the company’s strategy and technical achievements into compelling narratives for partners, investors, media, talent and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute Powerdot’s communications strategy in alignment with the CEO and leadership team.
• Lead external PR efforts, build relationships with top‑tier journalists, and manage agency partners in each market.
• Own the brand’s social media presence, tone of voice and content creation.
• Design and run internal communications, from company‑wide updates to CEO messaging and cultural rituals.
• Translate complex technical and operational topics into clear, memorable stories for press releases, LinkedIn posts, all‑hands meetings and investor narratives.
• Manage a direct report and coordinate a network of agencies to ensure consistent messaging across all markets.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading communications for fast‑growing, high‑energy companies.
• Strong storytelling ability, especially with technical or operational subjects.
• Comfortable working in a multi‑market environment and collaborating closely with senior leadership.
• Leadership skills to guide a small internal team and external agency partners.
