Global Strategic Buyer - Mechanical Components

About the role

The Keenfinity Group is seeking a Global Strategic Buyer to lead the procurement of mechanical components across its worldwide footprint. You will be responsible for shaping the sourcing strategy, managing supplier relationships, and delivering cost‑effective solutions that support the company’s growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a global material field for mechanical components in Portugal, Germany, China, and Mexico.
• Analyse global procurement markets, supplier landscapes and material trends.
• Develop and execute sourcing and supplier strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
• Define, optimise and maintain the global supplier panel.
• Negotiate contracts, prices, and delivery terms while handling escalations.
• Support local purchasing teams with fast quotation processes.
• Prepare and manage annual budgets for the assigned material field.
• Track, report and align monthly and weekly KPIs.
• Drive technical cost‑reduction projects in collaboration with suppliers and engineering.

Required profile

• Degree in Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of strategic purchasing experience for direct materials in a global industrial or EMS environment.
• Proven track record in global supplier strategy development, international negotiations and cost‑structure analysis.
• Highly proactive, solution‑oriented and comfortable in fast‑paced international settings.
