Global Procurement Category Manager (People Services)

About the role

Following rapid growth, Hiscox is looking for a Global Procurement Category Manager to lead People Services spend across the organisation. The role will partner with HR and business leaders worldwide to develop sourcing strategies, optimise supplier performance and deliver measurable value.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain category strategies aligned with business and workforce objectives, identifying cost‑optimisation, supplier consolidation and risk mitigation opportunities.
• Build strong relationships with business leaders, acting as a trusted advisor on procurement, sourcing and commercial matters for talent acquisition, learning & development, benefits, wellbeing and HR operations.
• Lead end‑to‑end sourcing activities including RFI, RFP, RFQ and supplier selection, and negotiate commercial terms.
• Manage strategic supplier relationships, establish KPIs, conduct performance reviews and drive continuous improvement.
• Partner with Legal, Risk and Compliance to ensure appropriate contractual protections and adherence to governance requirements.
• Support and coach junior procurement colleagues and collaborate across Procurement, HR, Finance, Legal and operational teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of procurement experience, preferably in a global or multi‑regional environment.
• Demonstrated experience with People Services categories such as talent acquisition, learning & development, benefits and HR operations.
• Proven ability to develop sourcing strategies, negotiate contracts and manage supplier performance.
• Strong partnership skills with HR and business stakeholders.
