Fullstack Developer – Kotlin, Spring & React

About the role

You will join the VWDS team in Portugal to design, develop, and maintain automotive backend services using Kotlin, Spring Boot and React. The position offers full ownership of the product lifecycle, from concept to deployment, within a multicultural and innovative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, deploy and maintain backend solutions based on Domain‑Driven Design with Kotlin and Spring.
• Apply DevOps principles to build, test and release services on modern cloud infrastructure.
• Contribute to technical and architectural decisions across teams.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define and evolve system architecture.
• Work on internal tools and support the complete project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven experience delivering software solutions in an international context.
• Strong background in backend development, RESTful APIs, event‑driven architecture and system integration.
• Solid experience with Spring Boot and React.
• Understanding of serverless architectures and CI/CD pipeline creation.
• Experience with AWS cloud services.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a multicultural, interdisciplinary product team.
