Full Stack Engineer

About the role

Thought Machine is building modern banking technology in the cloud and is looking for a Full Stack Engineer to join its Lisbon Engineering Hub. You will work on both backend services and frontend experiences, delivering high‑quality, secure, and performant features for a range of financial institutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement end‑to‑end features across the stack, including web applications and backend services.
• Ensure solutions meet security, performance, scalability, and user‑experience standards.
• Write automated unit, integration, and acceptance tests.
• Collaborate with other engineering teams to integrate features in a structured manner.
• Take full ownership of requirements, from design through implementation.

Required profile

• Strong engineering mindset with a passion for building reliable, high‑quality software.
• Ability to work across the full technology stack and bridge backend and frontend concerns.
• Experience delivering code that scales and is secure.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
