Frontend Engineer – React & React Native

About the role

Luca is a fast‑growing K‑12 EdTech startup looking for a seasoned Frontend Engineer to build world‑class interfaces for millions of learners. You will work on both web and mobile products, shaping the user experience of our hybrid educational platform.

Key responsibilities

• Develop high‑performance, mobile‑first web interfaces using React.
• Create reusable design systems and component libraries.
• Implement gamification features, real‑time chat, and collaborative learning tools.
• Build and maintain mobile applications with React Native, ensuring responsiveness and offline‑first behavior.
• Integrate external APIs and AI‑powered content.
• Work with GraphQL for queries, mutations, and subscriptions, and collaborate with Node.js backend services.
• Apply SRE‑style observability and reliability practices to the frontend stack.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional frontend development experience, with a strong focus on mobile.
• Proven ability to deliver complex, high‑impact user interfaces.
• Strong product intuition and design sense.
• Portfolio showcasing multi‑platform applications.
• Team‑player mindset with leadership potential.
