Frontend Developer

About the role

Primer is looking for a Frontend Developer to join its Acceptance team, the engineering domain that powers the core of its unified payment platform. You will build merchant‑facing surfaces such as composable checkout components, developer tooling, and UI layers that make complex payment flows simple and intuitive.

Key responsibilities

• Own frontend projects end‑to‑end—from scoping through production—for payment surfaces, checkout components and merchant‑facing tooling.
• Lead architectural decisions, contribute to design sessions and produce RFCs and ADRs.
• Build composable, performant, accessible UI for configurable payment experiences.
• Monitor production impact using metrics and dashboards, and take ownership of incident response and issue resolution.
• Maintain a high quality bar for code, enforce standards and help elevate the wider engineering team.

Required profile

• Strong frontend engineering experience delivering production‑grade work end‑to‑end.
• Extensive experience with TypeScript; experience with Web Components is a plus.
• Ability to own projects from definition to delivery and to contribute to architecture discussions.
• Clear, direct communicator comfortable in async‑first environments.
