Forecast to Control and Accounting Department Manager

About the role

The Forecast to Control and Accounting Department Manager plays a pivotal role at SBM Offshore, overseeing end‑to‑end close, accounting and forecasting processes. Reporting to the Forecast to Report Director, the manager leads a dynamic team of finance experts and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders, including Business Control, Group Treasury, auditors and joint‑venture partners.

Key responsibilities

• Drive transformation and optimisation of the Corporate & Business Solutions Centre, implementing new ERP‑based end‑to‑end processes and standardising reporting tools.
• Oversee annual budgeting, quarterly re‑forecasts and management operating reporting, providing KPI analysis and financial insights to Finance Directors and Group Control.
• Supervise quarterly balance‑sheet reporting under IFRS, statutory financial statements for ~80 entities, and coordinate annual tax reporting.
• Manage treasury planning, accounting reconciliations, IFRS 9 hedge accounting and IFRS 7 disclosures for both statutory and consolidated reporting.
• Act as primary finance liaison for joint‑venture partners and coordinate audit activities with external auditors.

Required profile

• Post‑graduation degree in finance (CPA, ACCA or equivalent) complemented by an MBA.
• Proven senior‑level experience building high‑performing finance teams in complex organisations, preferably in the energy sector.
• Deep knowledge of IFRS (including IFRS 15, 16, 9) and experience preparing full sets of financial statements.
• Strong analytical, tax and contractual expertise with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
