Financial Controller

About the role

Asecco South Eastern Europe Group is creating a brand‑new Financial Controller position within its Controlling team in Porto. You will act as a finance business partner for a dedicated business area, providing analytical support and insight for budgeting, forecasting and decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the budgeting and forecasting process, offering analytical support and business insight.
• Conduct variance analysis (actual vs. budget/forecast) and monitor financial performance.
• Analyze profitability by business dimensions and prepare ad‑hoc analyses to support decisions.
• Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams and senior stakeholders.
• Ensure financial processes comply with internal policies and enhance the accuracy and efficiency of financial analysis.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a Financial Controller or finance business‑partner role within a complex, preferably group‑structured organization.
• Ability to work effectively in matrix and cross‑functional environments.
• Experience supporting a specific business area such as Payments, Banking or Sales.
• Master’s degree in Administration, Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Advanced proficiency in English and Portuguese.
• Knowledge of planning, budgeting, cost‑control principles and IFRS (a plus).
• Understanding of complex reporting structures and financial/accounting principles.

• CCH Tagetik (knowledge is a strong advantage)
