Financial Control Team Leader (French Speaker)

About the role

Natixis is looking for a Financial Control Team Leader who will act as a second line of defense for finance activities across the BPCE Group. Based in Lisbon, you will work closely with teams in Paris and other locations to ensure the consistency, reliability and regulatory compliance of financial data.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Financial Permanent Control (FPC) team in quarterly closing monitoring and ad‑hoc assignments.
• Develop and maintain a robust control framework aligned with BCBS‑239 data‑quality standards.
• Drive continuous improvement by automating control processes and proposing corrective actions.
• Coordinate team activities, monitor performance, and report results to senior management.
• Manage recruitment, onboarding, talent development, and day‑to‑day HR matters for the team.
• Represent the area in internal and external meetings and travel to Paris for training and collaboration.

Required profile

• Proven experience in finance control, risk or compliance within a banking environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Fluent French for regular interaction with Paris colleagues; English proficiency required.
• Willingness to travel to Paris as needed.
