Financial Analyst

About the role

Air Apps, a Lisbon-founded company building an AI-powered personal and entrepreneurial resource planner, is looking for a Financial Analyst to join its finance team. You will support data-driven decision-making, work closely with senior finance colleagues and cross-functional stakeholders, and focus on accounting records, financial reporting, bank transactions and improving financial processes. The role is fully onsite in Lisbon, with relocation support offered.

Key responsibilities

• Support month-end closing and related reporting, and prepare recurring and ad-hoc financial reports.
• Handle accounting records and bank transactions, and support tax compliance activities.
• Collaborate with Product, Marketing and Operations teams to gather data and align financial insights with business goals.
• Support review and reconciliation of expense reports, bank statements, AR and AP balances.
• Support cash flow monitoring and cost analysis.
• Contribute to automating financial processes, including ERP and expense management systems.
• Ensure accuracy and consistency of financial data through review and reconciliation.

Required profile

• About 1 year of experience in finance, financial analysis, accounting or a related field.
• Degree in Finance, Management, Economics, Accounting or a related field.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.
• Proactive, willing to learn and able to explain financial information to financial and non-financial stakeholders.

Required skills

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable with Excel or Google Sheets.
• Basic understanding of financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
• Experience with financial systems or ERPs (e.g. NetSuite, Payhawk, Ramp) is a plus.
