Finance Accountant – Reconciliation & Reporting

About the role

Natixis Portugal is seeking a Finance Accountant to support the Financing business by implementing effective accounting controls and performing comprehensive reconciliations. You will work closely with the Back Office team to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with IFRS and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily reconciliation of Nostro and suspense accounts in coordination with Back Office.
• Post accounting journals and manage balance‑sheet vs. management reconciliation for both on‑ and off‑balance‑sheet transactions.
• Justify and account for provisions, cost‑of‑risk, and other balance‑sheet items.
• Analyze the impact of late operations and execute necessary manual entries up to D+2.
• Prepare statutory and regulatory reports using Excel and related tools.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Management.
• Strong interest or background in Business Intelligence and Data Analytics.
• Advanced knowledge of IFRS and GAAP, and familiarity with Portuguese VAT regulations.
• Excellent analytical, communication and deadline‑driven abilities.
• Proficiency in English at C1 level or higher.
• Interest or proven experience in process automation and data‑preparation tools.
