Expert Engineer - Full-Stack

About the role

Jimdo is looking for a senior full‑stack engineer who can take ownership of projects from concept to production. You will work across multiple codebases, switching between frontend, backend and infrastructure as needed, to unblock teams and deliver high‑impact features quickly.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable APIs, services and frontend components.
• Jump into different domains and codebases, quickly grasp context and unblock critical initiatives.
• Write high‑quality, maintainable code that balances short‑term pragmatism with long‑term sustainability.
• Collaborate closely with staff engineers, product managers, designers and other engineers to define solutions that create visible impact for users.
• Leverage AI‑assisted development tools and modern engineering practices to accelerate delivery without compromising quality.
• Identify gaps, edge cases and technical risks in existing systems and drive pragmatic improvements.
• Work independently on projects of varying complexity, from small enhancements to large‑scale system changes.

Required profile

• Senior‑level full‑stack problem solver comfortable with both trivial and highly complex tasks.
• Enjoys autonomy, variety and system‑level thinking.
• Strong collaborative mindset, able to work closely with staff engineers and product teams.
• Proactive, pragmatic and able to deliver outcomes quickly.

Required skills

• Full‑stack development experience.
• Familiarity with modern development tools and AI‑assisted coding workflows.
