English‑Speaking Accountant – International (France & Portugal)

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented English‑speaking accountant to manage financial transactions, prepare reports, and ensure compliance for our French entities while supporting accounting operations in Portugal. The role combines end‑to‑end accounting responsibilities with cross‑border collaboration in a fast‑paced, international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Record and maintain accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Prepare and reconcile profit & loss, balance sheets, and cash‑flow statements.
• Execute month‑end and year‑end closing processes in line with IFRS and GAAP.
• Drive internal and external audits and ensure statutory reporting compliance.
• Process invoices, payments, employee expense reports, and monitor collections.
• Prepare tax filings (VAT, corporate tax, payroll tax) and ensure local tax compliance.
• Assist in annual budgeting, financial forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Support process improvement and automation of accounting systems.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 + years of full‑cycle accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA, ACCA or equivalent preferred.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to work across teams and countries.
• Experience in CRO, pharmaceutical or healthcare sectors is a plus.
