Engineering Technician II

About the role

As an Engineering Technician II at MiniMed, you will turn innovative designs into life‑changing diabetes technology that reaches patients worldwide. Your expertise in electronics, mechanics and optics will directly support people living with diabetes.

Key responsibilities

• Perform duties in electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and optical areas, including construction, troubleshooting, calibration, testing and maintenance of equipment and systems.
• Interpret schematics, engineering drawings and verbal instructions to assemble, install and adjust machinery using precision tools.
• Conduct tests, report data, perform calibration and alignment checks, and make modifications as directed.
• Maintain manufacturing equipment, inspect hydraulic/pneumatic components, and ensure machines operate in excellent condition.
• Investigate non‑conformance products, support validation activities, and assist in POD generation.
• Collaborate with production, quality and engineering teams and be available for flexible work hours.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor degree in Electronic, Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology or related field is a plus.
• Fluent in Spanish and English.

Required skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Basic knowledge of SAP, Vision System and PLC.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Troubleshooting skills for electronic and mechanical components, equipment or systems.
