Engineering Supervisor – Product Engineering Laboratory

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Supervisor to lead our Product Engineering Laboratory. The role focuses on validation, testing and continuous improvement of innovative automotive products, ensuring compliance with international standards while developing a high‑performing engineering team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of Laboratory Engineers, fostering a collaborative and high‑performance culture.
• Allocate laboratory resources based on business priorities and project requirements.
• Manage day‑to‑day laboratory operations, ensuring safety, efficiency and adherence to Health & Safety regulations.
• Oversee maintenance, calibration and continuous improvement of testing equipment and facilities.
• Plan laboratory capacity to meet testing schedules and support product development timelines.
• Coordinate product validation and qualification testing throughout the development lifecycle, ensuring compliance with customer specifications and international standards.
• Review and validate technical reports and test results before release.
• Ensure full compliance with ISO 17025 and recognised automotive industry standards, maintaining traceable documentation and supporting audits.
• Define laboratory objectives, monitor performance through KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading an engineering laboratory, preferably in the automotive sector.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 17025 laboratory requirements and automotive testing standards.
• Demonstrated ability to manage resources, capacity planning and equipment calibration.
• Experience mentoring and developing engineering teams.
• Excellent collaboration skills with Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality functions.
