Endpoint Security Specialist

About the role

The Endpoint Security Specialist will design, implement and manage endpoint protection solutions across Hitachi Vantara’s diverse IT environment. The role ensures the confidentiality and integrity of devices and data by monitoring alerts, investigating incidents, and maintaining security policies.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and manage endpoint security systems (e.g., EDR, XDR, VMDR) across multiple platforms.
• Monitor security alerts, perform initial triage, investigation and escalation of potential incidents.
• Develop and maintain security policies and configurations for endpoint protection tools.
• Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans on endpoints.
• Collaborate with IT operations and other security teams to integrate endpoint solutions with existing infrastructure and incident response processes.
• Provide technical support and guidance to end‑users on endpoint security best practices.
• Research and evaluate new endpoint security technologies and emerging threats.
• Document security procedures, configurations and incident reports.
• Participate in incident response activities related to endpoint compromise.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of experience in information security with a focus on endpoint security technologies.
• Strong understanding of Windows, macOS and Linux security architectures.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
