Director of Procurement (All Genders)

About the role

Diconium, a digital business transformation consultancy, is looking for a Director of Procurement to transform its European Procurement organization. You will work closely with the Senior Director Procurement and lead a team of four procurement professionals, focusing on efficient, scalable and transparent processes and a stronger contractual and governance framework. The role is open to all genders.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the transformation of the European Procurement organization and help shape its operating model
• Lead and develop a team of four procurement professionals
• Review, streamline and continuously improve existing procurement processes and workflows
• Establish a scalable, transparent Contract Management framework and define processes, responsibilities and governance for the full contract lifecycle
• Ensure procurement and supplier management support security, compliance and regulatory requirements such as NIS2 and ISO 27001
• Work with Information Security, Legal, Finance, IT and other stakeholders on cross-functional processes
• Identify opportunities for automation, standardization and digitalization
• Develop procurement policies, standards and guidelines, and set KPIs and reporting structures
• Strengthen supplier governance, documentation, risk assessment and monitoring
• Support strategic sourcing and supplier negotiations where needed, and act as a sparring partner for the Senior Director Procurement
• Drive change initiatives from concept to implementation

Required profile

• Several years of experience in procurement, purchasing, procurement transformation or a related field
• Proven experience leading teams and driving organizational change
• Experience designing, implementing or optimizing end-to-end procurement processes
• Experience in an international or European environment and excellent English
• Willingness to travel occasionally within Europe

Required skills

• Strong understanding of procurement processes, governance and contract management
• Familiarity with information security, compliance or regulatory requirements such as NIS2 and ISO 27001 is highly desirable
• Structured, analytical mindset and strong stakeholder management
