Director of Operations

About the role

The Director of Operations will lead site-wide manufacturing performance, driving operational excellence, productivity, quality, safety, and cost optimization across a global manufacturing organization.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across Manufacturing, Production, Engineering, Maintenance, and site operations.
• Lead day‑to‑day manufacturing operations to meet targets for safety, quality, productivity, cost and delivery.
• Develop and execute strategies to improve capacity, efficiency, reliability and overall site performance.
• Drive improvements in OEE, throughput, yield, downtime, labor efficiency and cost performance.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives using Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma and other methodologies.
• Partner with Engineering and Maintenance on equipment reliability, capital projects, automation and capacity expansion.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, cGMP, EHS and regulatory requirements.
• Manage operating budgets, headcount, resources and capital priorities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, Manufacturing or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive operations leadership experience in manufacturing or production environments.
• Proven track record improving OEE, productivity, capacity, quality and cost.
• Experience managing budgets, capital investments and organizational resources.
• Strong knowledge of cGMP regulations, quality systems and EHS compliance.
• Excellent communication, analytical and strategic decision‑making skills.
